The Turnip Rock trail is the popular paddle in Port Austin. This trail follows along the shallow, mostly undeveloped shore to some of the most majestic rock formations in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
Broken Rocks Trail
The Broken Rocks Trail is a shorter trail than the Turnip Rock Trail, but has cool rock formations and sea caves all along the route. When you reach the turn around point, Flat Rock, you can pull up, take a swim and have some lunch.
Port Austin Reef Light

This trail takes you two miles into Lake Huron to the Reef Light, so you need to know the weather conditions before you paddle.
