Lighthouse County Park

Lighthouse County Park is a campground & day use park located just off of M-25 near Grindstone City and features the only walkable lighthouse in the Thumb region. The historical Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse is still a Great Lakes navigational point and open May 1 through October 15.

The campground features modern RV camping, rustic cabins, and tent sites. There is also a pavilion, picnic tables, and grills making it a great place for family gatherings and events.

The shoreline is rocky, so it’s not the best swimming beach but it is great for fishing, picnicking, or just enjoying a quite day on the lake. The park is also a great place for stargazing, especially during the slow winter months.
