Port Crescent State Park
One of the natural jewels of the Thumb, Port Crescent State Park has plenty of sandy beach to enjoy. They also have hiking trails, a raptor viewing platform, Dark Sky Preserve, Campground, and more!
While you’re there, check out Dark Sky Lodge & Tavern located between the Day Use park and Campground. Pop in for a bite to eat or a relaxing beverage on their patio.
Bird Creek Park
Located in downtown Port Austin, Bird Creek Park offers a huge sandy beach, a new splash pad, restroom facilities and more.
If you’re having food & drinks on the patio at Pak’s Backyard, you’re looking right over Bird Creek Park to Lake Huron.
McGraw County Park
Park of the Huron County Parks system, McGraw County Park is a really nice park with a large sandy beach, picnic & grill areas, restroom facilities, and is located right on M25.
Jenks Roadside Park
Part of the Huron County Parks system, Jenks Roadside Park offers beach access on the Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron and is located right on M25.
Waterfront Park
Located in downtown Port Austin, Veterans Waterfront Park offers a small, but easily accessible sandy beach, an outdoor fitness center, access to the Port Austin break wall, and restroom facilities.
It’s also home to the Port Austin Kayak launch site for the Broken Rocks water trail.
Oak Beach County Park
Oak Beach County Park is a campground and day use park located between Port Austin & Caseville on M-25. The sandy beach area also has picnic tables, grills, and restroom facilities.
Philp County Park
Philp Park is small day-use public park that offers swimming, picnicking and fishing at a sandy beach on Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron.
Sleeper State Park
The sandy beach at Sleeper State Park is easily accessible with parking right off of M-25. The day use area also offers picnic facilities and hiking trails are accessible via the campground.
